Our Background

Dr. Timothy M. Husser

Born and raised in the Portage Lakes of Akron, Ohio, Dr. Husser felt the need to bring back home a different approach to healthcare for over the past 20 years in private practice.  Initially wanting to become an Architect, his career path changed after seeing a fellow Martial Arts (Taekwondo) competitor hurt and then healed by a Chiropractor.  A desire to learn this Art of Healing, caused him to pursue Physical Therapy training and a Chiropractic practice with the same veracity as his Martial Arts training.  Learning from Chiropractic Leaders, Founding Fathers of Chiropractic (Palmer College), and various Doctors throughout the United States, Dr. Husser felt the best choice to practice would be to come home and "take care of his own".  His mother currently works in the office as his Office Manager.

Dr. Husser still practices his Martial Arts (5th Degree Master of Taekwondo, competing and training since 1984), but now enjoys boating in various "puddles" with his family.  With his wife and boys, they are active at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and in chasing down the next soccer game.  Dr. Husser is a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member in Wadsworth and was a past Treasurer for the Portage Lakes Kiwanis.

Why name "Triune" Chiropractic... simply put, "the benefits of knowing about and receiving Chiropractic care is bigger than any last name or place.  I wanted a reminder of what Chiropractic is truly about, and to educate the importance in the Triune of Life."  In R.W. Stephensen's 33 principles of Chiropractic, that is principle #4, which namely reflects on the union of Intelligence, Force, and Matter.  "Conditions are a reflection of an interruption in this union, and therefore our mind becomes disconnected to the body by way of less than 100% neural force being received or controlled.  Chiropractic care aims at restoring that neural force back and forth (via spinal cord and nerves) between the brain and each body part."

Dr. Husser has been a Ringside Doctor for the Ohio Boxing Commission, an Adjunct Instructor for Anatomy / Physiology for University of Akron and Ohio College of Massotherapy, and currently does Independent Medical Examinations and Peer Review Reporting in Disability and Utilization cases outside of his current Chiropractic Practice.
